The action continues on the second day of the Telkom SA National Water Polo Championships
The Newton Park Swimming Pool saw a spectacular 253 goals over 14 games on the second day of the Telkom SA National Water Polo Championships in Port Elizabeth on Thursday, 7th April 2011.
In the men's Pool A, KZN A won both of their games yesterday against Western Province A (4-2) and Eastern Province A (15-5). CG South continued their winning streak with a 25-7 triumph over Eastern Province A and Western Province A managed a 4-4 draw with CG North for the last match of the evening.
It was another draw for Northern Tigers in Pool B when they ended 8-8 with the Eastern Province B team, while the Eastern Province C team claimed a close victory over Gauteng Central C, beating them 8-6.
On the ladies side, Western Province u20 and KZN A won their third consecutive games of the Championships when they beat Northern Tigers 16-2 and Central Gauteng 13-6, respectively in Pool A.
Central Gauteng claimed their first victory when they thrashed the KZN B side 17-3 but the KZN B team won their last game of the day against Northern Tigers 9-8.
In Pool B, the ladies from the Western Province A team bagged two victories against Northern Tigers (19-1) and Eastern Province (23-3) while Border also defeated Eastern Province (9-6) and the Northern Tigers u20 team (17-1).
The action continues as the third day of Water Polo kicks off at 07h00 on Friday, 08th April.
