Important information regarding the SASKO A-League Galas

The Friday evening session will commence at 18:30 and the Saturday session will commence at 10:00.

It must be made very clear to the parents that any swimmer wishing to participate at this gala MUST be registered by no later than 31 July 2010.   This rule also applies to officials - all officials wishing to officiate at this gala must also be registered by 31 July 2010.

The PDO will not accept individual entries from parents.  ALL entries must be done through the Club Gala Secretary.

The PDO will only liaise with the Club Secretary/Gala Secretary regarding any entries.

Gala entry fees R12.00 per event and R30.00 per relay.

Once again please read the instructions regarding payment of the entry fees.

Entrance to the pool will be R10.00 per session - Swimmers and scholars will not be charged an entrance fee.

Parents and Coaches will NOT be allowed on the pool deck during the gala. The only people on the deck will be the swimmers going to report for their races and the officials. Please ensure that all your parents are aware of this rule.

All queries will be handled by the Administrative Referee on duty via the records room.  We appeal to swimmers, parents and coaches to refrain from going to the ETD room.

All competitors, Junior and Senior, MUST report to the competitor steward prior to their event.

If a swimmer does not report and misses their race they WILL NOT be accommodated in another heat/event.

Scratching forms will be available from the records room.

Scratchings will only be accepted from the Team Manager or Team Coach and will be accepted up to 30mins before the start of the relevant session.

Scratchings will not be accepted from a swimmer or parent.

Records

The onus is on the swimmer/parent or coach to claim a record.

Record application forms will be available from the records room.

Records must be claimed within 21 days of the date of the event.

If you have a query regarding the claiming of a record you must please consult with the records clerk on duty.

Please remind your swimmers that the wearing of 2 costumes is not allowed.

This will disqualify the swimmer.

Any queries regarding the above, please contact Mrs Lorraine Deasy at the EPA Offices.
